How wonderful it is to have events to celebrate. Yesterday my husband and I travelled to Keezletown, Virginia, five miles east of Harrisonburg. It was this rural church’s 225th anniversary!
After the celebration we went to Sentara RM Hospital to visit our nearly one-hundred-five-year-old “mom.” We celebrated the fact that she was being discharged.
How much like life our day was. First, a joyful mountaintop experience, then not knowing what the future would hold for my mother-in-law. This mix of feelings had occurred in less than 24 hours. All the more reason to savor each moment we have.
